πΆ️π€Some legacies never stop walking the runway…
Some people don’t simply become part of a story: they create an entire universe and forever change the way we experience it. Frolic Mills was one of them. A visionary and pioneer of the fashion world in Second Life, he transformed fashion into spectacle, modeling into an experience, and creativity into a universe of possibilities that reached far beyond the runway.
This October, the month of his birthday (October 15), his absence becomes a source of inspiration. Some names are never erased by time, and some footprints continue to shine through every creation, every production, and every dream that dares to dress itself in greatness.
Today, OnlyDivaSL pays tribute to Frolic Mills with MODE: FROLIC MILLS a celebration in which each member interprets his essence through her own sensibilities, experiences, and emotions—a personal tribute to a man who helped build an entire world.
We do not seek to recreate his universe, but to feel it, reinterpret it, and make it our own. Because when someone leaves a lasting mark on an entire generation, their legacy never stands still: it keeps creating, keeps inspiring, and, in its own way, keeps walking the runway.

Fashion is art, identity, and freedom of expression. Inspired by Frolic Mills' legacy and his concerns about the loss of individuality in modelling, The Ghost of Fashion is a silent protest against imitation, fast fashion, and the fading of originality in SL and RL. The sculptural red gown embodies passion and rebellion, while the veil conceals an identity suffocated by conformity. Birds symbolise the wings of imagination, threatened by serpents representing imitation and creative constraints. Beneath the veil, an artist still exists, refusing to disappear. Fashion is art. Art is identity. And creativity must remain free.
This look is more than fashion; it is a tribute to a true giant of the Second Life modeling world, a visionary whose presence transcended runways, trends, and time.
Inspired by an extraordinary legacy, I chose to embrace the power of theatrical elegance, fearless individuality, and unapologetic self-expression. The sculptural white silhouette represents purity and artistic freedom, while the dramatic makeup, black gloves, and delicate silver details embody the beautiful contrast between strength and vulnerability.
Every element tells a story of someone who never simply followed fashion but helped define what it could become.
True icons do not merely wear fashion. They transform it into an identity, an emotion, and an everlasting memory.
This is my interpretation of a legend whose influence cannot be measured by applause or recognition alone, but by the inspiration left in those who dare to be different.
Because greatness is not about being remembered for what you wore. It is about being unforgettable for who you were.
Legends never truly leave the runway. Their spirit continues to walk through us.

Frolic has been a mentor, a friend, and an unmistakable figure in Second Life fashion. He inspired so many of us, encouraging us not only to learn the art of modelling, but to find our own voice through fashion.
At MVW Modeling Academy, I remember him telling me: “You look like you belong on a runway, but I don't know who you are.” Those words stayed with me. They were a reminder that presence alone is not enough; we must also develop our own identity, express ourselves, and dare to be different.
For the Frolic Challenge, I am creating my own outfit and poses. For me, this is especially meaningful because Frolic was always part of my journey, both as a model and as a designer. Learning to model helped me become a designer, and designing, in turn, made me a better model. Each discipline nourished the other, and his encouragement to explore, create, and go beyond what was expected helped shape that journey.
One of the last things he asked of me was a custom outfit. In a way, this creation is my tribute to him: a way to honour the opportunities he gave me to find my voice, build my identity, and express my creativity.
For his guidance, his encouragement, his unmistakable personality, and the lasting mark he has left on Second Life fashion, I offer my heartfelt thanks.
For Frolic, and for everything he has inspired in us.

Although I never had the opportunity to work directly with Frolic Mills, I have always been aware of his remarkable legacy in Second Life fashion. To me, he represented creativity, elegance, boldness and, above all, a genuine passion for fashion. He was a pioneer and mentor who helped shape one of the most memorable eras of the SL fashion world.
For my tribute, I wanted to reinterpret his sophisticated style through a bold couture look. The black and white palette is inspired by the tuxedos he so often wore, while the sparkling black gown symbolizes the brilliance and impact he brought to the fashion community. The white stole adds the refinement I always associated with him, and the red lips represent his passion for fashion. I chose to hide my own face behind a white mask so the image could feel less like a portrait of myself and more like a collective tribute. The golden mask in my hand represents the uniformity I sometimes see in fashion today, in contrast with the individuality and creativity Frolic encouraged — held in my hand rather than worn, as a choice to remain unique.
