Fantasy Delights

Sun 26 April, 3PM SLT

There were so many people that, for a moment, I wondered whether I had stepped into a fashion show… or a collective spell. The Fantasy Fair 2026 doesn’t just celebrate its eighteenth anniversary—it transforms it into an experience that vibrates between the magical and the sublime, where every corner seems to whisper ancient stories while avatars—more fabulous than ever—glide by like creatures from a couture fairytale. And yes, all of this with a purpose that makes it shine even brighter: supporting the American Cancer Society, because here, fantasy also saves lives.

The setting… a fantasy in itself. A lush park overflowing with nature, as if an enchanted forest had graduated in scenic design. Impossible flowers, pathways that seemed crafted by architectural fairies, and an atmosphere so alive that, honestly, you half-expected an elf to rush past you, late for backstage. Within this dreamlike environment, the crowd—large, eager, and completely immersed—became part of the spectacle: an audience that didn’t just watch, but breathed fashion.

And then, as if summoned by a glamour spell, came Fantasy Delights, the fashion show by VM Productions. The proposal was as eclectic as it was enchanting, with stylings that flirted between the ethereal, the dark, and the unapologetically editorial. VM Productions makes it clear that their vision goes far beyond the “look”: there is narrative, there is meaning, there is a conscious elegance that even dares to speak about sustainability and the impact of the environment on health—all while a dramatic cape flows in perfect sync.

The team behind the show deserves its own chapter in this chic fairytale: from the flawless hosting of Diana Balhaus and Vanessa Jane, to the runway aesthetics crafted by Anael Starr. The lens of Javi Gearz and Wildstar Beaumont captured every moment with near-magical precision, while the direction—led by Monica Querrien and Vickie Maidstone—kept the rhythm flowing with a smoothness many fairytales would envy.

The models—Lolita Paragon, Naarnizze Absinthe, TwinkieBean, Claudia Fosse, Larida Andel, Lathilda, Mila Blauvelt, Ale Chun, Negly Claremont, Martina Fiertze, and Lua Vendeta—walked as if each step were a different spell. Some ethereal, others intense, all fully committed to the art of storytelling through fashion. There were moments when you didn’t know whether to applaud or open chat and congratulate them one by one.

The detail that earned a collective round of applause: a note with the full credits for every single look. Yes, ladies and gentlemen!!!

To close, the entire backstage stepped forward to take a bow—names and all. A gesture as necessary as it was elegant, elevating the experience and honoring the fact that behind every fantasy, there are hands, minds, and immense talent.

In short, this wasn’t just a fashion show. It was an enchanted journey where fashion, solidarity, and creativity walked hand in hand… probably while battling some truly terrible lag at the same time. And if one thing became clear, it’s this: at the Fantasy Faire, dressing well isn’t enough—you have to do it with magic. ✨
