A Magical Weekend at Fantasy Faire 2025


This last weekend, we had the pleasure of visiting Fantasy Faire 2025, now celebrating its seventeenth year in Second Life. Known as the largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts, roleplayers, and performers in the virtual world, Fantasy Faire is more than just a beautiful event—its heart beats for a cause: supporting the American Cancer Society’s vision of a world without cancer.


Spanning across 18 stunning, artist-designed regions, the Faire features over 300 of Second Life’s top fantasy creator
s offering everything from avatars and clothing to furnishings, gadgets, and exclusive items. But the magic doesn’t stop at shopping.



Beyond the fourteen shopping regions, you'll discover immersive Faireland realms—spaces where community, creativity, and storytelling come to life. Dance with fairies, demons, and tinies at the Fairechylde. Embark on the Fairelands Quest with the Bard Queen. Take a stroll through stories on the LitFest Tours, or enjoy the magic of roleplay and live performances. Reflect in the Memorial Garden and dream anew in the Worldling Cradle.


Among this weekend’s many highlights, we had the pleasure of attending the VM Productions Fashion Show. Twelve of the grid’s finest models presented "A Shakespearean Experience"—a breathtaking journey through time, showcasing period-inspired fashion in a show that was both visually stunning and emotionally moving.



Following the second walk, InMotion Dance Troupe delivered a touching dance tribute to Aponi Nova and in memory of Jade Pono, who we lost last year to cancer. The performance was heartfelt, reminding us all why this event matters so deeply.


To all the incredible talents—Vickie, Moni, Aealla, Charlotte (amazing photos TY !!!!), Steele, World, Aponi, Jascha, Lady Tiara, Negly and every single one of you—WELL DONE! You created something truly memorable.




Fantasy Faire 2025 runs from April 17 to May 4, offering eighteen days of magic, community, and endless events. Whether you're here to shop, explore, dance, or simply dream—there’s something for everyone. You’ll find the SLurl to the event on our website, so come join the story.

Chapter #1 Beautiful Faces before MESH Flickr, is undoubtedly a window to the past, present and perhaps the future of Second Life. I've been looking around for a while, reviewing those photos of yesteryear that give so much nostalgia and observing here and there, I could observe “Something” that could physically define the golden age of modeling in Second Life: “We were all clones without many differences”. Of course there were variables, but the vast majority of us were an oval head, a snub nose, a big or small mouth (depending on the fashion of the year) and a body molded by a Notecard with values, which we were given in modeling schools, to achieve a “Perfect” model body, which was nothing more than an anorexic, tall, with long legs like a flamingo.
